SEC Certifies Results of Primaries; Calls for Recounts, Runoffs
COLUMBIA, SC—The State Election Commission met at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2006, as the State Board of Canvassers to certify the results of the June 13, 2006 Republican and Democratic Primaries. Official primary results can be found here.
Recounts have been ordered for Monday, June 19, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. for the following offices:

Recounts will be conducted in each respective county election commission office. The State Election Commission will meet on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. via conference call at 2221 Devine Street, Suite 105, Columbia, SC, to certify recount results.
The State Election Commission also ordered runoffs for the following offices to be conducted on June 27, 2006. The State Election Commission will certify runoff results on Saturday, July 1, 2006.
