State Senate District 20 Special Filing & Primary
August 30, 2016 - Lexington & Richland Counties
This special filing period and special primary are being held pursuant to S.C. Code of Laws Section 7-11-55 after the withdrawal of the Democratic nominee for State Senate District 20. This special filing period is limited by law to only candidates seeking the Democratic Party's nomination since the withdrawn candidate was not unopposed. The nominee resulting from this process will be a candidate on the November 8, 2016 General Election ballot.

Noon, August 9 - Filing Opens

Candidate Filing Information
- This filing period is being held to replace the Democratic Party's candidate for Senate District 20 and is open to only candidates seeking the Democratic Party's nomination.
- Candidates file at the county voter registration and election office in their county of residence. Click here for office addresses and phone numbers.
- The filing fee for this office is $416.00. Filing fees can be made by check or money order. Filing fee checks should be made out to the appropriate State party.
