Municipal Election Day Quickly Approaching: Key Reminders for Voters

COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 30, 2025)- As early voting for South Carolina’s municipal elections wraps up, the S.C. State Election Commission (SEC) encourages voters who are registered within a municipality holding an election to review these important details to ensure a smooth voting experience on Municipal Election Day.

“This Tuesday, hundreds of municipal elections are taking place across South Carolina – offering citizens an opportunity to choose the leaders closest to them and their communities,” State Election Commission Interim Director Jenny Wooten said. “We encourage every eligible voter to make a plan, know your polling location, review your sample ballot and cast your vote. Every vote matters, every vote counts, and every vote in a municipal election helps shape the communities in which we live.”
