State House of Representatives District 101 Special Election

November 4, 2014, or December 9, 2014 - Clarendon and Williamsburg Counties

Only one candidate filed for this office during this special filing period.  The office was filled in the 2014 General Election.  See the 2014 General Election for results.

 

A special filing period for State House of Representatives District 101 is being held pursuant to state law (7-11-55) after the withdrawal of the only candidate for the office in the 2014 General Election. 

 

If at the close of filing a party primary is not necessary (no more than one candidate files for each party), the election for State House of Representatives District 101 will be held at the November 4, 2014, General Election. 

If at the close of filing a party primary is necessary (multiple candidates file for a party), a primary will be held on October 28, 2014, to determine the party nominees.  Any necessary runoffs will be held on November 11, 2014.  If primaries are necessary, the office will not be filled on November 4, 2014, but will be filled in a Special Election to be held on December 9, 2014.

September 27 - Voter Registration Deadline for Primary

October 28 - Primary (if necessary)

November 4 - 2014 General Election (if no primary is necessary, seat will be filled at November 4 General Election)

November 8 - Voter Registration Deadline for Special Election (if necessary)

November 11 - Primary Runoff (if necessary)

December 9 - Special Election (if primary is necessary, seat will be filled at December 9 Special Election)
